Tony Takitani
Don't expect this film to be shown in the big hollywood cinemas around your place. But if you are lucky and there is some non-mainstream cinema in your town you might have a chance to see this Japanese movie there.

I would not recommend it to everybody. No, not because after his tour through Europe the director said Austria is boring. It's because if you are not really into Japanese culture you will have a hard time watching it. If you are a fan of silent movies which focus on details and sometimes force you to think and make up your own thoughts then you will love it. This one definitely gives you a chance to think.

Agata und der Sturm

Because I am not the biggest fan of romantic, sweet movies which I normally leave to my spouse I am really happy that I was forced to see this nice Italian movie. It has funny aspects all over it. Don't miss it. It's already available at your local DVD dealer.

Nobody knows

Nobody Knows

Just back from the latest Japanese movie (at least in the “moviemento” cinema nearby). A really sad drama done by fabulous actors (mainly four kids). Although the movie itself states in the beginning that only the core of the plot is based on a real story we could imagine that the whole thing could be like that in real life.

A mother leaves her four children alone in an apartment and does not come back. It is not the first time but this time it seems as if the mother does not come back. The children try their best to suvive as good as they can. movie homepage (Don't read the long description. It contains spoilers.)

If you are interested in the Japanese mind and want to see a movie about the average Japanese people then this might be the right movie for you. Do not expect to see the typical fancy crazy city scenes from other Tokyo movies.

Samurai Resurrection (Vanilla Version)

Really nice German movie. Especially nice shot and sympathetic actors. Not much more to tell. Anyways worth watching in contrary to another movie I saw yesterday: “Samurai Resurrection”. Please stay away from this one. Thank you.
