Today we relaunched our company page. At the moment in German language only but English and Japanese are going to follow soon. The static system is gone and all new powerful features of our framework are now available for happy frontend hacking. From now on the page will be much more up-to-date than previously due to the new backend core system. Also the work samples will be updated more lively in the future.

Not long ago all the media was talking about SecondLife and the landrush. The hype was huge and everywhere. Almost no chance to escape it. My two active weeks at SecondLife surely were fun. Everybody was talking about the pioneers who managed to make their fortune in SecondLife and transferring their Linden Dollars to real life. Who would not like that idea? Getting wealthy by playing your favorite game. I still can remember us talking about opening an office in SecondLife and getting rich ourselves too. Some days later I already found out being in SecondLife is quite time consuming. Quickly the plans for our empire were dropped.
I still joined the party from time to time but soon even memory faded away. Today I stumbled across the SecondLife website and seems as if they are celebrating their fifth birthday soon. The blog looks like they desperately try to get word out. Anybody still addicted to SecondLife? Still hanging out in virtual space?

Last Thursday I was really looking forward to spend some days in the north italian region “alto adige”. It was really great but even though Monday was a holiday the week hit in quite unpleasantly on Tuesday.
After moving the last couple of sites from the old server to the new high availability cluster in a 16 hrs shift the stress level kept up pretty high. At least this week only has two more days full of surprises left.
This is one of the few times in my life where I don’t even find time to work on my own online projects.
At the moment all of the few minutes left are going into my new blog in japanese gaijin.desu.at and my daily webjourneys at gfrast.com. I have many new features for those sites trapped mentally already and I hope I can release them within the next month. As for this site do not expect too many news. But hey… that was the situation already for the last month.. no?

Finally. After almost two years of suffering and hoping GlobeAir was able to present the first real jet.

Tonight a brandnew Cessna Citation Mustang VLJ was brought to Linz, Austria by Bernhard Fragner (CEO of GlobeAir and Pilot). It was a huge party and everyone could feel and touch the exciting machine. The seats are very cosy. The party was also great because of a short public demonstration of the GlobeAir Radar which consumed many hours of my working life

(I hate the shitty quality of the built in SonyEricsson W580i camera… W810i was way better)
Looking forward to hacking together some more GlobeAir projects.
