The main goal of project ASP5 | eibMobile is to develop an application which can be attached to any Siemens Instabus EIB installation and which gives the user the ability to control the devices of the installation via an MIDP 1.0 and CLDC 1.0 capable device (e.g.: mobile phone, PDA).

The application consists of two major parts: the server and the client.

The server is to be able to detect devices of the installation and to control the detected devices. The Server must also be able to supply the client with the necessary device information. For that a special XML data format has to be developed.

The client is to convert the device information into a GUI which the user uses to control the devices.

All project goals were reached successfully.
